AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources launched a training course in innovation, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Sunday’s course is entitled “Innovative Administrative 1” and was attended by 16 ministry employees with various specialties.

Shorok Abdel Ghani, the ministry’s director of Planning and Institutional Development, said the training will introduce participants to the concept of innovation and its role in leading institutions. It said it will show them how to create ideas.
She said the training will enable participants to apply the course’s outcome on the ground practically. In addition, it will help them identify the challenges faced by the sector and the obstacles to generating ideas and coming up with innovative and applicable solutions, which will create new growth opportunities for the ministry, she added.
The training is the first in a series of specialized courses offered by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to its employees. The courses will raise the “efficiency of institutional performance” through the “Encouraging and Supporting Innovation project,” which will train 30 employees annually through 2024.
