AMMAN — The
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is
reportedly considering the implementation of fuel price ceilings instead of
setting a fixed price every month, according to a report by Jo24.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources,
Saleh Al-Kharabsheh,
has confirmed that the ministry is studying the feasibility of implementing
price ceilings. If a price ceiling proves to be in the interest of the public,
the ministry will start implementing it, he added.

Additionally, the ministry has received messages of interest
from
fuel marketing companies seeking to enter the local market. The requests
are still under study.
The decision to allow new companies and implement price ceilings
