AMMAN— The
Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) said that subscribers in the first electricity segment, who
consume 1-300 kilowatts per hour amounted to 58 percent of subscribers, and pay
a tariff of 50 fils per kilowatt, according to Ammon news.

The EMRC also stated that subscribers in the second
segment, who consume 301-600 kilowatts per hour and pay 100 fils per kilowatts
amounted to 35 percent, and those in the third segment, who consume more than
600 kilowatts per hour, and 200 fils per kilowatt amounted to 7 percent.
The EMRC pointed out that it would provide additional
support for the first and second segments if the consumption rate did not
exceed 600 kilowatts per hour with JD2.50; and a JD2 monthly support if the
total consumption rate ranged between 201 and 600 kilowatt per hour.
