AMMAN — The
Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) signed a memorandum of understanding with a German recruitment firm,
which envisions assisting Jordanian engineers find jobs in German-speaking
nations, Khaberni reported.

The countries are namely Germany, Austria, Belgium,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
The memorandum, which stipulated that the service of
the German firm was gratis, was signed on behalf of JEA, by JEA member and head
of the Civil Engineering Division Bashar Al-Tarawneh.
The German firm also interviewed 40 women and men
engineers for potential jobs in Germany.
In a related development, a delegation from the
German Federal Employment Agency, in cooperation with the Jordan-based Goethe
Institute, met a group of engineers who completed the German-language
requirements.
Tarawneh said to get Germany to be interested in
potentially hiring Jordanian engineers was a joint effort with the Jordanian
Embassy in Berlin, which negotiated with the German government.
