ِِAMMAN — Cabinet ministers reviewed with the Association of Banks in Jordan, and the
Jordanian Businessmen Association the government’s recent draft on Investment
Environment Regulation.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser
Al-Shraideh, along with the ministers of finance,
industry, and investment, also discussed the most prominent issues of concern
to the business environment in the Kingdom, according to a ministry statement.
The meetings were
initiated earlier by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and began with
representatives of the Jordan Industry and Trade Chambers. The premier examined
the main areas of interest for the two chambers under the proposed law.
Khasawneh also had
listened to observations and suggestions on the draft in preparation for its
finalization.
The Investment
Environment Regulation Act is at the forefront of the 2021-2023 government's economic
priorities program, which seeks to develop and strengthen the investment
environment in the Kingdom.
The government intends
to present the draft law to the Lower House of Parliament at its upcoming
extraordinary summer session, which opens on July 20.
