Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan welcomed the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Dima Al-Yahya, and the heads of delegations participating in the fourth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization, currently chaired by Jordan, at the Prime Minister’s office on Wednesday. The assembly is taking place in the Dead Sea region today.

The Prime Minister praised the organization’s role in enhancing digital cooperation among member states, supporting digital transformation, and enabling the digital economy to achieve sustainable development goals.
He pointed to the National Council for Future Technology, established under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and chaired by the Prime Minister, with follow-up from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II. The council will play a key role in shaping the country's digital policies, strengthening partnerships with the private sector, and keeping up with technological advancements.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the significance of the meeting hosted by Jordan today, especially in light of the rapid digital transformations happening globally, noting that Jordan’s vision for the future of digital transformation aligns with the objectives and tasks of the organization.
The Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Dima Al-Yahya, expressed her gratitude to the Jordanian government for hosting the fourth General Assembly, noting that the meeting represents an important milestone in the journey of digital cooperation between member states.
Al-Yahya stated, "We are witnessing an unprecedented digital transformation that compels us all to work together to enhance digital opportunities and enable communities to fully benefit from modern technologies."
She added that the gathering in Jordan today reflects their collective commitment to developing a thriving digital environment that includes everyone and contributes to creating sustainable economic opportunities that meet the demands of the future.
Al-Yahya also mentioned that the organization strives to unite efforts to empower innovation and digital entrepreneurship, ensuring digital inclusion for all, with a focus on supporting youth and women in the digital economy.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Samirate, confirmed that the fourth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization, chaired by Jordan, reflects Jordan’s commitment to enhancing digital cooperation with the 16 member states of the organization.
For their part, the heads of delegations affirmed the member states' commitment to strengthening joint cooperation and supporting the organization’s initiatives to achieve its ambitious vision of building an inclusive and sustainable digital economy.
