The Civil Consumer Corporation has announced discounts on more than 500 food items, starting today, Saturday, in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.

In an interview with Petra News Agency, the Director-General of the Corporation, Salman Al-Qudah, stated that the discounts, which will last for 11 days, range between 9% and 32%. These reductions are notably lower than those in previous years and will be available across all 69 markets in various governorates and districts throughout the kingdom, with sufficient stock to meet consumer demand.
Al-Qudah also announced that working hours during Ramadan will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some branches extending until 5:00 PM. Additionally, branch managers are authorized to remain open until the last customer is served before Iftar.
Discounted Products
The discounts cover essential food items, including:
✔ Cooking oils, sugar, rice, milk, and legumes
✔ High-demand Ramadan items such as walnuts, almonds, coconut, dried apricots (Qamar Al-Din), dates, lentils, freekeh, and bulgur
✔ Dairy products, cheeses, juices, and cream
Al-Qudah emphasized that these reductions aim to ease financial burdens on citizens, reflecting the corporation’s social responsibility.
Support for Charitable Contributions
The corporation also offers a service for charitable donors, preparing pre-packaged food parcels in different price ranges. Donations can be facilitated through paper vouchers or magnetic cards, catering to donor preferences while ensuring high-quality service for beneficiaries.
Expansion Plans for 2024
Al-Qudah outlined the corporation's expansion plans, which include:
📌 Opening three new branches in Jabal Al-Nasr, Tabrbour, and Khalda (Amman)
📌 Upgrading 12 existing branches to improve infrastructure and enhance the shopping experience
