— The general industrial production record has dropped by 2.52 percent from the
start of the current year until the end of October, reaching 90.54 points
compared to 92.88 for the same period last year, with a baseline year of
(100=2010).

According
to the monthly report released by the
General Statistics Department on Tuesday,
the cumulative benchmark of industrial production quantities until the end of
October of the current year, compared to the same period last year, has
decreased due to a 3.35 percent decline in the
production quantities of the
manufacturing sector, Al-Ghad reported. Meanwhile, the production quantities of
the extraction industries increased by 2.55 percent, and the production
quantities of electricity rose by 3.02 percent.
The
report explained that the overall benchmark for
industrial production quantities during October of this year decreased by 2.13 percent, reaching
91.02 points compared to 93.00 for the same month last year.
On
the commodity level, the overall benchmark for industrial production quantities
for October of the current year, compared to the same month last year, saw a
decrease in the production quantities of the manufacturing sector by 3.32
percent, while the production quantities of the extraction industries increased
by 6.55 percent, and the
production quantities of electricity rose by 4.15
percent.
The
overall benchmark for industrial production quantities in October of the
current year decreased by 2.14 percent to 91.02 points compared to 93.02 in
September of the same year.
Every
month, the overall benchmark for industrial production quantities for October
of this year decreased compared to the preceding month. This was due to a 2.22
percent decline in the production quantities of the manufacturing sector and a
9.10 percent decrease in electricity production quantities, while the
production quantities of the extraction industries increased by 3.91 percent.
