AMMAN — The industrial sector took the lion’s share of the overall
foreign capital flowing into the Kingdom during the first nine months of 2022,
with 57.8 percent, having benefited from the
Investment Law, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Jordan Chamber of Industry said in a statement on Wednesday that
industrial investment totaled JD380 million, on 183 projects, affirming the
sector’s ability to draw in foreign and local investments.
The industrial sector contributed to the national economy by providing
10,000 direct job opportunities, the statement added.
It noted that the sector was also the top driver for gross domestic
product growth during the first half of 2022, contributing to about a third of
the national economy’s growth.
