AMMAN — The first vice president of the
Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Jamal Rifai, met with the Panamanian
ambassador to Jordan, Jose Ulises Lescure, to discuss ways to
strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.

According to a statement released by the
JCC on Saturday, carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the two sides
discussed cooperation mechanisms on
multiple economic issues of common interest. They emphasized the importance of launching a plan to develop trade
exchanges and strengthen joint partnership.
Common interestRifai and Lescure also discussed sectors of
common interest, particularly seafood, Dead Sea products, drugs, potash, and
phosphates.
During the meeting, both parties stressed
the need to hold a
joint business forum and prepare a study on exports and imports as well as sectors of common interest.
They also discussed the exchange of
information on joint investment opportunities and establishing a
Jordanian-Panamanian business council.
