AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) is taking part in the activities of the First Arab Exhibition (Arab Expo), which is held in Amman from August 24-27, under the theme: "Promoting Joint Arab Economic Cooperation", according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The expo brings together about 40 companies and institutions from Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, and Sudan, representing multiple investment sectors, mainly agriculture, foodstuffs, furniture, fashion, communications, and information technology (CIT), medical supplies, handicraft products, real estate, therapeutic tourism, Arab industries, health, and transport sectors, according to a JFDZ statement released on Thursday.
JFDZ Director of Investment Promotion and Media, Amjad Widyan, noted Jordan's investment opportunities are "rich and available," noting that JFDZ seeks to attract "qualitative" investments with high added value, primarily in export industries, healthcare, medical equipment, food business, tourism, and CIT sectors.
Widyan also said JFDZ provides opportunities to attract local and foreign investments in the industry, trade, tourism, and services sectors.
This exhibition, which the Ministry of Investment sponsors, aims to enhance Jordan's "leading" role in promoting joint Arab integrated action in a bid to achieve the Arab countries' goals in economic and investment cooperation through Arab exhibitions industry to realize comprehensive Arab economic unity's objectives, he said.
This exhibition, an Arab economic event held in Jordan for the first time, is a multi-sector forum for businesspeople, trade development institutions, commerce, and industry chambers, to display their products and services and network the Arab countries' private sector.
