AMMAN — Director-General of the National Center for
Agricultural Research Nizar Haddad discussed on Saturday with the Regional
Director for the Middle East at the
French Agency for Development (AFD)
Catherine Bonnaud means to enhance joint cooperation in many agricultural
fields.

The Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported that during
the meeting, Haddad said that the AFD was a “true partner in developing the
incubator for agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship at the center”
through the Smart Desert project led by the International Union for
Conservation of Nature.
The project is in cooperation with the Inter-Islamic
Network on Water Resources Development and Management, and the other partners
Blumont, Horizon, GreenTech, in addition to the development of scientific
research tools, Haddad noted.
Sustainable Development Goals, he noted, can only be
achieved through cooperation with partners, especially in training and
qualification, capacity-building and investment in creative individuals, and
transforming creative ideas into projects that achieve comprehensive
development.
Bonnaud voiced pride in the partnership with the
center and its leading role in finding solutions for many challenges facing the
agricultural sector. She pointed out that the Agricultural Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Incubator is a Jordanian success story and a fertile environment
for creative ideas.

Laurent Duriez pointed to the joint cooperation between the
agency and center through the development of the incubator, stressing that it
has fostered and developed the ideas of young entrepreneurs, farmers, agronomists,
and the private sector.
