AMMAN — Jordan discussed with an
international agricultural development organization programs which can help the
government achieve domestic food security, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

The discussions were held Sunday between Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Al-Shraideh and the regional director
of the Near East, North Africa, and Europe Division at the
International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Dina Saleh.
Shraideh and Saleh also spoke about challenges facing
the government due to Russia’s war in the Ukraine and its effect on food
security and supply chains.
The minister thanked IFAD for its continuous support and
effective partnership with the Jordanian government, saying that the
organization’s assistance has positively impacted development efforts in the
agricultural sector and financing projects of priority.
