Jordan imported 259,000 mobile phones worth around 26 million dinars during the first two months of 2025, according to Ahmad Aloush, president of the Jordanian Vision Association for Mobile Devices and Accessories Investors.

In a press statement, Aloush noted that during January and February of 2025, the value of mobile phone imports reached approximately 26 million dinars. This was for around 259,000 devices.
He also pointed out that the import volume for the same period in the previous year was higher in terms of numbers, with 334,000 devices imported. However, the total value of imports was lower, standing at only 24.5 million dinars.
This variation reflects several factors, primarily changes in consumer behavior. There may have been a higher demand for premium devices or brands, leading to a decrease in the total number of imports while the total value increased. Furthermore, global price fluctuations, such as inflation or rising production and shipping costs, could have contributed to this difference.
Additionally, data from GSMA Intelligence shows that mobile phone subscriptions in Jordan reached 9.53 million at the start of 2025.
According to the data, the number of subscriptions in Jordan increased by 432,000 (+4.8%) between the beginning of 2024 and 2025. 96.6% of these subscriptions support 3G, 4G, and 5G services.
