AMMAN — The
Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat and his Palestinian counterpart Riyad Al-Atari inaugurated
the headquarters of the Jordanian Palestinian Company for Marketing
Agricultural Products in Amman, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Hneifat said “the main challenge for farmers is
marketing, and this company promotes products.” The minister stated that the
company’s procedures are going in line with the work plan, adding the company
is done with the capital, registration, and the main office.
The minister added that the upcoming stage will
include the first sales point, which will be in Dubai. He indicated that the
company’s staff finished all the work, regulatory and legal procedures and
appointed a general manager in accordance with the pillars of the national plan
for sustainable agriculture and the mechanisms for regulating the sector and
production.
Hneifat also pointed out that the company’s role is
not limited to the foreign market, but will work with the local market, which
will give the farmers the safety and transparency in quantities and
prices.
Hneifat added
that the company is looking forward to dealing with the private sector in the
future.
For his part, Al-Atari reaffirmed that the company
is looking to maintain the traditional market and is moving toward the
international markets, stating that the company’s plan includes establishing a
building in Palestine.
