AMMAN — Jordan's trade balance with Qatar in the first half of 2022 amounted to USD88 million, according to figures issued by Qatar's Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) on Thursday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Trade exchange in the January-June period grew by 6.6 percent, up from 300 million riyals, or $83.3 million, in the same period of 2021, the data showed.
Qatar imports most kinds of fruits and vegetables from Jordan, including fresh, frozen, canned, processed food, livestock, medicines, central air conditioners, household, and plastic appliances, agricultural commodities, chemical industries, marble, phosphate, and potash.
In contrast, the Kingdom imports oil products, kerosene, liquefied gas, fertilizers, cement, pipes, polyethylene, polymers, and raw aluminum from Qatar.
The number of Jordanian-Qatari joint companies operating in the Qatari market currently exceeds 1,100 companies, working in trade, contracting, construction, interior design, maintenance, conference organization, banking, accounting, real estate brokerage, education, carpentry, and ready-made kitchens, and others.
