Jordan Records Peak Electricity Load on Sunday

The peak electricity load recorded on Sunday reached 4,400 MW, according to data from the National Electric Power Company.

The National Electric Power Company had previously announced, on February 9, that it had recorded the highest winter electricity load in its history, reaching 4,210 MW.اضافة اعلان

The company clarified that the highest winter load in the previous year had been 4,070 MW, while the highest summer electricity load was recorded on August 14, 2023, at 4,240 MW.

Jordan is currently experiencing a deep atmospheric depression and an extremely cold polar air mass, referred to as the "Jalmood Wave," which has led to a sharp drop in temperatures and extremely cold conditions, accompanied by rain and strong winds across various regions.
