AMMAN — The
Jordan Free and Development Zones Group’s (JFDZG) Director of Investment Promotion and Media Amjad
Al-Widyan and Sudanese Ambassador Anwar Fadlullah discussed economic
cooperation and integration through interconnecting Jordanian and Sudanese free
zones, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During Saturday’s meeting on the sidelines of the First
Arab Exhibition (Arab Expo), the two officials spoke about the possibility of
designating an equipment and medical supplies warehouse for Sudan in the free
zone at Queen Alia International Airport.
They also went over the prospects of establishing a joint
investment project in Sudan, using the Jordanian free zones as training
centers, and promoting Sudanese agricultural investment opportunities, in view
of the global food crisis.
Widyan expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s
commitment to strengthening ties with Jordanian free zones, while the envoy
commended the JFDZG’s role in organizing and participating in the Arab Expo.
