AMMAN (Jordan News) — The UAE and
Jordan have agreed on a joint economic, commercial and investment cooperation
program for the next stage, which includes seven main areas to strengthen
economic relations between the two countries.

The program includes incentives to
develop non-oil trade exchange, according to a report by MSN.com.
It also entails cooperation in the
areas of the digital economy, improving digital skills, and developing partnerships
in the areas of food security and strategic stocks.
The two countries will also work
on investing in joint industrial business incubators to empower
entrepreneurship and owners of small and medium enterprises.
According to the report, Amman and
Abu Dhabi will develop a plan to establish investment projects and set up a
working group mandated with increasing joint ventures in vital sectors, such as
financial technology, health and modern agriculture.
The UAE is among the five largest
trade partners of Jordan, and the volume of non-oil foreign trade between the
two countries $2.42 billion in 2020.
The value of joint investments
between the two countries amounted to $20 billion last year, according to the
UAE Ministry of Economy, cited by MSN.
