Fathi Al-Jaghbir, head of the Jordan and
Amman Chambers of Industry (JACI), said this “significant increase” is evidence
of the importance of exploring non-traditional markets, especially in South and
Central America and Africa.
In a statement on Thursday, Jaghbir
explained that the main Jordanian products exported to Brazil include
fertilizers, potash, phosphates, sterilization materials, medical supplies,
clothing products, and foodstuffs.
Role of embassiesHe highlighted the cooperation between the
JACI, the Jordan Exports company, and the Jordanian Embassy in Brazil, which
coordinated to facilitate the boost in exports. He also lauded the role of
Jordan's ambassador to Brazil, Maan Mosaada, and the embassy staff.
Jaghbir stressed the need to encourage
Jordanian embassies around the world to promote
Jordanian industries. An
increase in Jordanian exports, he noted, supports the national economy and
generates more job opportunities for the local workforce.
