AMMAN— The Kingdom's total imports of vehicles during last
August amounted to 6, 206, compared to 5,445 in July, statistical data released
by General Association of Car Agents and Dealers of Spare Parts and Supplies
showed, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

According to the association's head, representative of the
automotive sector, heavy machinery and their supplies at Jordan Chamber of
Commerce (JCC), Salama Jabali, imports covered 2,485 gasoline-run vehicles,
while 2,210 others were hybrid and 1,511 were electric-powered.
In a statement on Thursday, he said the Kingdom’s tire
imports increased by 35 percent during last August, at a value of JD6.246 million and
vehicle batteries went up by 39 percent, worth JD2, 644mln.
