AMMAN — In the month of May, Jordan imported a total of
7,430 vehicles, comprising different types of automobiles, according to the
Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the General Association of Car Agents and
Dealers of Spare Parts and Supplies.

The import distribution includes 2,101 petrol vehicles,
2,008 hybrid vehicles, and 3,321 electric vehicles, as reported by Hala News on
Tuesday.
Wheels, tires, and other accessories
Salama Al-Jabali, the representative of the car sector in
the
Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the head of the General Association of Car
Agents and Dealers of Spare Parts and Supplies, revealed additional import
data.
The value of the Kingdom's imports for civil wheels and
tires reached JD5.3 million in the past month.
Electric savings and batteries
accounted for JD2.5 million, while oils and fluids amounted to approximately JD
950,000.
Furthermore, engines and car parts were imported at a value
of JD9.2 million.
Data from Jordanian customs
Jabali emphasized that these figures were based on data
provided by the
Jordanian Customs.
The Jordan Chamber of Commerce is currently in the process
of preparing an analytical study to examine the vehicles sector and the monthly
and periodic value of its imports.
