AMMAN — Jordan ranked 63 globally in the
NUMBEO Global Cost of Living Index which is a list of the most expensive countries to live in the
world, according to AmmanNet.

Index rankingThe index ranks countries ascending in terms of the cost of
living. Bermuda, Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Norway, Singapore,
Iceland, Jersey and Denmark are in the top 10 globally, as the
most expensive countries in the world in terms of the cost of living.
In the Arab world also, Lebanon is ranked 27th, UAE 36,
Qatar 38, and Yemen 39 while Saudi Arabia is ranked 54th, Oman 60, and Kuwait
62.
Significant differenceIn a significant difference from the previous Arab
countries, Iraq ranked 112th, followed by Morocco in 120th place, then Algeria
(126), Tunisia (130), Syria in 131st place, Libya (136), and Egypt in 139th
place.
