AMMAN — During the initial five months of 2023,
Jordanian exports to the EU experience significant growth, rising by 23.4 percent to
approximately JD136 million, compared to JD110 million in the same period last
year.

According to data from the
Department of Statistics, it
revealed a 3.6 percent increase in the value of the Kingdom’s imports from the
EU, reaching JD1.182 billion for the first five months of 2023, as opposed to
JD1.140 billion during the same period last year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra
reported.
Among European countries, the
Netherlands emerged as the top
destination for Jordanian exports to the EU, reaching JOD 38 million during the
first five months of the current year. Simultaneously, Germany led the list of
countries from which Jordan imports, with the value of the
Kingdom's imports amounting to approximately JD253 million.
