In a statement on Sunday, JEA head Ahmad Al-Khudari lauded Jordan's
participation as “successful," and enabled companies to promote their
products, network to conclude trade deals and review the latest developments in
the food manufacturing field.
Saudi Arabia, he said, is a "key" market for Jordanian industrial
exports, in light of the "strong" relations between the two brotherly
countries at various levels, in addition to geographical proximity.
Jordan's participation in the exhibition was "very important" for the
Kingdom's industrial companies, especially in the current stage, which is
witnessing global interest in the food sector, he said.
During the past years, he noted Jordan's industry has witnessed
"remarkable" development, in terms of quality and competitive price,
displayed in its access to 142 markets across the world.
In this regard, he pointed to the need to maintain support to participation in
foreign fairs, which constitutes an important opportunity to promote and open
new markets for national products.
Meanwhile, JEA's Director General,
Halim Abu Rahma, said JEA, since its
establishment in 1988, has been "continuously" seeking to launch
various programs that would promote national exports to various Arab and
foreign markets, especially with countries that the Kingdom has signed free
trade agreements (FTA).
JEA, he noted, works within "clear" plans and programs to enable
industrial and exporter community to enter new markets and benefit from the
Kingdom's agreements with various global economic blocs.
