AMMAN — Jordan imported 351,000 heads of livestock in the first 4
months of 2022, signaling a major increase of 37 percent from the figure
reported in the same period of 2021.

In January to April 2021, Jordan imported 255,000 heads of livestock, Mohammad Al-Dalabeeh,
secretary-general of the Jordan Navigation Syndicate (JNS), told the Jordan
News Agency, Petra, on Sunday.
The number of inbound containers picked up by 12 percent in the first three
months of the year to a total of 272,063, Dalabeeh said. During that period, 127,129
vehicles were imported via the Red Sea port of Aqaba, compared with 103,198
vehicles in the same period of 2021.
