AMMAN —
Jordan's trade balance deficit with the
European Union (EU) in 2022 stood at
JD2.58 billion, compared to JD2.54 billion in 2021, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, reported.

Foreign trade data
issued on Wednesday by the
Department of Statistics (DoS) showed that the
Kingdom’s exports to the bloc's countries soared by 139 percent to reach some
JD428 million in 2022, compared to JD179 million in 2021.
Meanwhile, imports
from EU member states edged up by 10.8 percent to reach JD3.011 billion in
2022, compared to JD2.718 billion in 2021.
According to the
figures, the
Netherlands was the main EU destination for Jordanian exports
while Romania was the Kingdom's top European supplier.
