The activities of the
Jordanian-Syrian economic forum kicked off on Saturday in
the Syrian capital, Damascus, under the theme, “Participation rather than
competition”, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

The forum is organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce
and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce.
Chairman of the Jordan and Aqaba Chambers of Commerce
Nael Kabariti who chairs the delegation participating in the forum, said that
the event “constitutes a new step toward boosting the two countries’ trade
relations”, which is important “in light of the current developments in the
global economy”.
According to Kabariti, the 3-day forum is an “important
economic stimulus that will strengthen the trade relations between the two
countries”.
As part of the forum, working meetings related to trade
exchange and transport logistics between Jordan and Syria, in addition to
industrial and agricultural cooperation between both countries, will be held.
On the third day of
the forum, there will be an exhibition of the participating companies, which
amount to 30, represented by 65 Jordanian businessmen.
