AMMAN — A delegation of 130 Jordanian businessmen, representing
various sectors such as commercial, industrial, service, contracting,
information technology, financial, banking, and tourism, will be traveling to
Baghdad, Iraq on Tuesday.

The trip is organized by the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce and
Industry, the Jordanian Businessmen Association, and the Iraqi Business Council
in Jordan, local media outlets reported.
Economic forumOn Wednesday, a Jordanian-Iraqi economic forum will take place in
Baghdad and will be attended by the ministers of industry and trade from both
countries. The meeting aims to enhance economic cooperation and improve trade
relations between Jordan and Iraq.
The Higher Jordan-Iraq Committee will also meet in Baghdad on
Thursday.
The delegation will be led by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and
Labor, Youssef Al-Shamali.
According
to official data, trade exchanges between Jordan and Iraq increased to JD707
million over the 11 months of 2022, compared to JD415 million during the same period
in 2021.
