AMMAN — Local companies specializing in the food industry will begin their participation in the Agricultural Food and Packaging Supplies Exhibition, which the city of Erbil will host in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, on Tuesday, according to Al-Ghad News.The
Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA), which organizes local participation in the four-day exhibition, which will be held at the Erbil International Fair, indicated that Jordanian companies work in canned food, nuts, coffee, spices, the frozen sectors foods, Arabic sweets, and milk and dairy products.

The vice-chairman of the JEA, Ahmed Al-Khudari, said that the exhibition constitutes a strong opportunity for Jordanian industrial companies to promote their products in front of the participants, especially since it comes after difficult conditions imposed by the
COVID-19 pandemic on the global exhibition industry, which was forcibly stopped due to the pandemic.
He added that strengthening economic cooperation between Jordan and Iraq represents a common interest for the two countries, which requires joint work to overcome obstacles that affect the movement of goods in both directions, stressing that participation in the exhibition is the beginning of the road to reach the markets of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
It is worth noting that the exhibition, which is being held for the fourth time, will feature food products, sweets, snacks, packaging technology, packaging materials and machinery, animal production, dairy industries, irrigation equipment, seeds, horticultural seedlings, transportation, and storage equipment, refrigeration, and air conditioning technology, and hospitality and hotel equipment.
