AMMAN — Data from the
Turkish Statistical Institute showed
that Turkish real estate sales to Jordanians reached 1,257 properties in 2021,
ranking 12th among the 20 highest real estate buying nationalities in Turkey.

According to Al-Rai newspaper, the data revealed that Jordanians
ranked fifth in the Arab world in terms of foreign purchases of real estate in
Turkey during the past year, after Iraqis, Kuwaitis, Yemenis, and Palestinians.
According to the statistical data, real estate sales in
Turkey to
foreigners increased by 43.5 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year. In
2021, Turkey saw the sale of about 58,876 houses, and real estate sales to
foreigners in Turkey accounted for 3.9 percent of last year's total sales,
which amounted to around 1.5 million properties, respectively.
Istanbul and Antalya topped
Turkish cities in total property sales
to foreigners, with sales reaching 26,469 and 12,384 properties.
According to the data of real estate companies in Turkey, real
estate prices have risen in most areas, especially in Istanbul, where the
average price (one sq.m.) increased from 5,000 Turkish liras to 7,500 Turkish
liras during 2021.
