Press Release — Bank Al Etihad celebrated companies
nominated for its award for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during a
ceremony organized by the bank at Zara Expo on November 19, presenting the
first-place prize of JD50,000 to the enterprise Konn Homes, according to a
press statement.

Konn Homes, founded in Jordan by Basma and Basel Uraiqat, is
a company that believes “a better home is the basis for a better life”. The
company’s mission is to facilitate ownership of more sustainable homes using
technology, through an online platform where customers can design their homes
and order them within eight weeks.
This year's theme for the awards was resilience. The bank
wished to highlight companies that have adjusted to and recovered from the
impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic through their readiness to embrace innovative
strategies to ensure business continuity.
More than 160 companies applied for the award, illustrating
the determination of Jordanian companies and their pride in their adaptability.
The five finalists were Jo Academy, Digitales, Konn Homes, WashyWash, and Sowt.
They were evaluated on three criteria: resilience, business strength, and
social and environmental impact.
