MPs block bill raising ASEZA share of Aqaba taxes

AMMAN — The Lower House of Parliament on Monday voted down, for a second time, a bill raising the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority's (ASEZA) share of tax collections in the port city from 25 percent to 40 percent, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In late December, the House rejected the amendment to the ASEZA Law before the draft was passed by the Senate. However, the legislature renewed its rejection of the bill today.
