Khasawneh said that the first phase of supply which will
commence next month will be a trial phase for transporting and selling
liquefied natural gas to the industrial sector. The second phase will be by the
end of the current year. Meanwhile, the other companies will start implementing
their operations in 2024 with an estimated investment of around JD100 million,
Jo24 News reported.
Khasawneh explained that the sales to the
industrial sector will be at low prices and will contribute to reducing operational costs for
factories and companies. Selling to the private sector will increase the
company's revenues and thus enhance its
operational capabilities. He noted that
the current sales are limited and estimated at around 17 to 20 million cubic
feet per day to the
Risha Power Plant.
