Speaking at Young Engineers Conference (YEC) on Sunday, the envoy noted the
Nigerian market is "promising" for the Jordanian engineering sector,
noting that his country's authorities concerned with engineering activities
will invite
Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) to visit Abuja at the end of
next month.
The two sides will sign an agreement to facilitate ways to benefit from
Jordanian engineering expertise in
Nigeria at all levels, the diplomat pointed
out.
In addition, Yabo welcomed holding a Jordanian-Nigerian engineering exhibition
during a JEA delegation's visit to Abuja, to network the two countries'
engineering companies.
For his part, JEA president, Ahmed Al-Zoubi, said the association has expanded
its training and employment programs, created a fund to enhance its budget, and
prepared an action plan based on scientific criteria to run and implement
training programs for Jordanian engineers to work in
Germany.
To date, a number of Jordanian engineers have reached the final stage of final
interviews with German operators, Zoubi pointed out.
JEA has gone a long way in coordinating with partners in local and
international institutions, especially with regard to the African, Canadian,
and
American markets, with the aim of benefiting from Jordanian engineering
competencies and services, according to Zoubi.
