AMMAN — More
than a quarter of a million
Jordanians traveled to Turkey in the first six
months of this year, according to a local news outlet.

According to data from the Turkish ministry of
tourism, the number of Jordanian visitors in the said period reached 272,676,
an increase of 88 percent over the same period of 2021, when the number of
Jordanian travelers stood at 145,065.
Jordanians constituted 1.18 percent of the total
number of visitors to
Turkey in the first six months of 2022, which stood at
about 23 million.
According to the same statistical bulletin, 93,658
Jordanians visited Turkey during the month of July, an increase of 33 percent
over July 2021, when the number stood at 70,000 visitors.
Jordan ranked third in the
Arab world in terms of
the total visitors to Turkey since the beginning of the year till the end of
July, following Iraq, whose visitors reached 660,000, and Kuwait with 279,000
visitors.
Jordanian travelers ranked fourth in the Arab world in terms
of the number of visitors to Turkey during the month of July, led by Iraq, with
216,000 visitors, UAE, with 137,000 visitors, and
Saudi Arabia, with 110,000
visitors.
