AMMAN —
Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh issued a circular to all government agencies, institutions, and public bodies,
urging them to adhere fully to Article 43 of the Investment Environment Law No.
21 of 2022.

The law, which was enacted last
year, regulates the registration and licensing of economic activities in the
country.
Article 43 specifies that all official entities responsible for
granting licenses must comply with the provisions of the chapter within six
months of the effective date of the law.
Relevant official entities must complete transactions related to the Comprehensive Investment Service within 15 working days of receiving an application that meets the requirements.
In the circular, Khasawneh
emphasized the importance of following the provisions of the
Investment Environment Law regarding the registration and licensing of economic activities,
the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He highlighted the need to take into
account the requirements, conditions, and procedures for granting licenses in
all matters.
The prime minister also stated that
relevant official entities must complete transactions related to the
Comprehensive Investment Service within 15 working days of receiving an
application that meets the requirements.
If the official entity fails to
respond within the specified time period, it will be considered an automatic
approval of the transaction, the circular said.
