Istitieh told a press conference Sunday that the
employment program aims at providing job opportunities for 60,000 young
Jordanians as well as the beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund, who will be
able to keep up to 7 percent of the fund’s financial support even while
employed.
The initiative is also open to any private sector
institution in the Kingdom, but only if it is registered with the
Social Security Corporation, according to the minister.
He highlighted some of the most prominent measures
that have been implemented since the launch of the program, including training
the ministry’s staff, 192 liaison officers from various entities connected to
the program, visiting private sector institutions to introduce the program, and
holding workshops for representatives of employers.
The program will begin a nationwide campaign
starting on Monday to introduce institutions and youth to it, Istitieh added.
