AMMAN — The value of Qatari private-sector exports to Jordan during the first quarter of the year was approximately 43.6 million Qatari riyals ($12 million), according to Al-Ghad News.اضافة اعلان

A report issued by the Qatari Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday stated that Qatar’s private sector exports to Jordan during the first three months of this year recorded a growth of 5.5 percent, up from 41.2 million riyals during the same time of 2021.

major exports of the Qatari private sector to Jordan include automobile oils, sulfonic acid, aluminium molds, paraffin wax, polyethylene, iron rods, and chemical fertilizers.

Qatar also relies on the Jordanian market to import a large part of its needs of fresh, canned, and frozen food, specifically fruits and vegetables.

According to the Qatari Planning and Statistics Authority, the volume of trade between Jordan and Qatar over the past year was 660 million riyals.

From these exchanges, Jordan achieved a trade surplus with Qatar of 276 million riyals through the export of goods to the Qatari market of 468 million riyals, while imports reached 192 million riyals.
