AMMAN — Representative of the clothing,
shoes, fabrics, and jewelry sector at the
Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC)
Asaad Al-Qawasmi said the recent rainfall at the beginning of the winter season
raised demand for winter attire, which contributes to the local market’s
stability and supply of goods.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on
Sunday, he said garment and footwear merchants have prepared for the 2022
winter season since the beginning of this month, and imported winter
commodities from several countries, with various items that suit all tastes and
ages.
Garment prices have a
“stable” range near their seasonal rates, compared to previous years, he said.
He expressed hope that Jordanian traders will compensate losses incurred during
the last summer and winter seasons, due to the decline in demand and liquidity
shortage.
