AMMAN — The trade volume of Jordan’s real
estate increased by 20 percent between January and July this year to record
JD3.128 billion, compared with the figure reported in the same period of 2021,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Department of
Land and Survey (DLS) revealed Sunday that the state’s revenue from the real
estate market stood at JD142 million in the January to July period of 2022, a
33 percent jump from the figure recorded in the same period in the preceding
year.
Overall, real estate sales in the Kingdom dropped by
7 percent between January and July this year, as apartment sales also declined
by 2 percent, and land sales fell by 9 percent, compared with the corresponding
period in 2021.
On a monthly level, the trade volume in the
Jordanian real estate market went up by 40 percent last month, to reach JD493
million, compared with July 2021.
Revenue in the same month recorded a whopping 60 percent
rise, reaching JD23 million compared with the same month of 2021.
