Rotana Hotels in Jordan, represented by Amman Rotana, The Boulevard Arjaan
by Rotana, and Centro Mada Amman, organized a “Back to School” backpacks
initiative in conjunction with the upcoming start of the new school year by end
of August, supporting 100 underprivileged kids in Um Al Rasas village.

The initiative included distributing school back bags along with
classroom essentials to 100 students registered with Al Rakha’a Charity,
established under the Ministry of Social Development. Patrice Cornée, General Manager of
Amman Rotana said:
“Our initiative aims to encourage children to enroll in school and keep up with
their education by motivating them with a fresh new start.”
Hala Massaad Nahas, General Manager of The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana,
expressed the importance of the “Back to School” initiative due to its noble
national and social meanings. She also highlighted: “As some families prepare
for the beginning of the school year, they struggle financially, and our role
comes here to support those families as we are all part of our community.”
A group of colleagues from the three
Rotana Hotels volunteered to
prepare the backpacks and fill them up with the classroom essentials. Imad Akil
commented on this: “A huge thank you for our colleagues who volunteered; it was
extremely joyful to see those kids choose their favorite-colored backpack and
put it on. We cherish every chance to support and connect with our community
and such an initiative is part of our big commitment.”
