The memo was signed by the RFC Managing Director
Mohannad Al Bakri and Creativity Club CEO Husam Tarawneh.
The inauguration of the center in Karak, at the
club’s headquarters, comes within a series of similar Film Centers managed by
the RFC in seven governorates around the Kingdom (in Irbid, Mafraq, Salt,
Zarqa, Aqaba, Petra, and Wadi Rum).
The project aims to provide an educational and
entertainment space for youth in the city through the film center, which will
also offer training workshops in the fields of film and television. Free
screenings of Arab and international movies will also be held. The project also
includes a mobile cine bus equipped with modern audio-visual equipment and
devices in order to create a different educational environment that meets the
requirements of today’s film and TV industry.
Bakri stressed
that the RFC, since its establishment, has paid special attention to the
governorates, and said: “We are glad that the RFC now has an official body in
Karak,” and thanked the Creativity Club for its part.
Tarawneh thanked the RFC, adding that the club
considers “it a step forward and an expansion of our programs in the field of
arts that will enhance the aesthetic taste of the club’s members, encourage
critical thinking and improve the skills and capabilities of the youth
interested in the fields of photography, montage and directing.”
