AMMAN — Schneider Electric, a global specialist
in energy management and automation, held its first “Innovation Day” event in
Jordan on Sunday and Monday to showcase its latest technology solutions and
advanced applications in digital transformation, building management, and
energy.

According to a press release, the event, held at the Kempinski
Hotel in Amman, shed light on Schneider’s role in supporting the realization of
the Kingdom’s future vision, under the theme “Partnership of The Future”.
The Innovation Day was attended by representatives from key
Schneider Electric partners, official distributors, and customers, as well as
leading local media agencies. The company presented a variety of activities for
partners and distributors, such as interactive product demos, breakout
sessions, and networking opportunities.
“This aligns with Schneider Electric’s plans to expand its presence
in the Jordanian market and develop its partner network in line with the
technological leap Jordan is witnessing, creating huge growth potential for
Schneider Electric and its local partners,” the company said in the statement.
Customer focusThrough the “Partnership of The Future” initiative, Schneider
Electric seeks to develop its customer network, enhance mutual cooperation to
boost knowledge, and achieve higher efficiency and sustainability standards to
attain positive results.
According to a customer study by Schneider Electric on digital
transformation and its impact on businesses, 54 percent of Schneider Electric
partners believe digital transformation presents an opportunity for their
business, whereas 60 percent of customers said they now incorporate
sustainability metrics when selecting business partners, which underlines the
important role digital transformation and sustainability play in the business
world.

Jordan partnerships
Schneider Electric recently relocated its
Levant headquarters to Jordan, banking on the country’s “great business
potential” and its keenness to implement the latest digital transformation
solutions, which play a significant role in enhancing the operational
efficiency of cities, buildings, factories, and production facilities as well
as rationalizing consumption of energy — one of the high-cost resources in the
country.
“Schneider Electric has been operating in
the Jordanian market for more than 20 years, throughout which it has
implemented various strategic projects in partnership with the government and
the private sector amid a growing shift toward digital transformation as a top
priority on the national agenda,” the company said.
In addition to its business endeavors,
Schneider Electric has signed an agreement with UNHCR in the Middle East and
Africa to provide its Mobiya solar lanterns to refugees in Jordan and
neighboring countries.
