The general price index of stocks closed last week at 2578.8 points, compared to 2607.9 points the previous week, reflecting a decrease of 1.12%.
اضافة اعلانThe average daily trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange was approximately 5.9 million dinars, compared to 5.7 million dinars the previous week, marking a 3.8% increase. The total trading volume for last week reached about 29.4 million dinars, compared to 28.4 million dinars the week before. The total number of shares traded during the week was 17.1 million shares, executed through 10,455 contracts.
Regarding the sectoral contribution to trading volume, the services sector ranked first with a trading volume of 12.65 million dinars, representing 42.97% of the total trading volume. The financial sector followed in second place with a volume of 11.44 million dinars, making up 38.85%, and the industrial sector ranked third with 5.35 million dinars, contributing 18.18%.
Sector-wise, the services sector index decreased by 0.94%, the financial sector index dropped by 1.74%, while the industrial sector index rose by 0.7%.
Comparing the closing prices of shares from 129 companies listed this week with their previous closing prices, it was found that 28 companies experienced an increase in their share prices, while 74 companies saw a decline in their share prices.
The five companies with the largest price increases last week were:
- Jordan Vegetable Oil Industries - 9.12% increase in share price
- Integrated Multi-Transport - 8.33% increase
- Arab Pipe Industry - 7.75% increase
- Future Arab Investment - 5.66% increase
- Manara Islamic Insurance - 5.26% increase
The five companies with the largest price decreases were:
- Jordan Industrial Resources - 11.90% decrease
- East Investment Projects - 11.18% decrease
- Sabaek Investment - 10.00% decrease
- Real Estate Investment Portfolio - 9.52% decrease
- Arab Investment Projects - 9.09% decrease.
