The Head of the Clothing, Fabrics, and Footwear Traders Association, Sultan Allan, said that the demand for the sector was exceptional during the last ten days of Ramadan, coinciding with the payment of salaries. Allan added in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the purchasing activity witnessed a strong surge after the payment of salaries to employees in both the public and private sectors, after being weak during the first three weeks of the month. He confirmed that most of the obstacles faced by traders during peak shopping times in markets have been resolved this year, with the help of traffic police, as well as smooth customs clearance procedures at various customs centers.
