AMMAN — The 20th
Amman International Summer Shopping Festival is slated to open Thursday at the Jordan Exhibition and Convention
Center in Mecca Mall, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The 10-day
festival, which brings together vendors from Jordan, Palestine, Iran, and
Pakistan, will be held under the auspices of Prime Minister Bisher
Al-Khasawneh.
Food products,
furniture, clothing, accessories, plastics, chemicals and detergents, as well
as antiques and gifts will be on display.
Raed Abu Saada,
general manager of the event’s organizers the International Promoters Co, said
there is no entry fee and that visitors would be able to purchase directly from
the exhibitors.
He said that the
festival is one of the most important shopping and entertainment shows in the
Kingdom because it allows consumers to learn firsthand on the competitiveness
of local industries and how they are thriving. He added that the festival,
which runs from 3pm to 11pm, is a chance for businesspeople to network and establish
commercial partnerships.
