This Ramadan, Careem is helping customers give back to their communities when ordering food, booking a ride,  or donating through the ‘Right Click’ donations platform.

Mudassir Sheikha, CEO and co-founder of Careem, commented: "Ramadan is a time of generosity and reflection, and we feel a deep sense of responsibility to support the communities we serve. We’ve introduced easy ways to give back when ordering food or groceries, while also ensuring our captains are supported during the holy month. Thanks to our incredible partners we hope to drive meaningful impact that extends beyond Ramadan and fosters a spirit of ongoing giving."
Through Careem’s in-app donations platform, Right Click, customers can contribute directly to a number of charitable organizations, including Tkiyet Um Ali’s Zakat campaign, King Hussein Cancer Foundation, and Al Aman Fund.
Careem Food is launching the "Eat a Plate to Fill a Plate" campaign in partnership with over 250 restaurants in Amman. With every food order placed through the app, customers can choose to donate JOD 6 to Tkiyet Um Ali, providing a meal for someone in Jordan and another for someone in Gaza for each donation.

A dedicated “Ramadan” car type was also launched by Careem Rides that adds 1 JOD to every ride, which will be donated to Tkiyet Um Ali to provide meals to those in need. The donations go towards the "Mawaed Al Rahman Program," which serves around 4,000 Iftar meals daily throughout the holy month in various governorates across the Kingdom. This initiative is in line with the ongoing commitment to positively impact communities and foster a spirit of giving during Ramadan.

In addition, Careem is launching “Careem Walks”, a series of community fitness walks open to the public in Amman during Ramadan. These walks will take place in Weibdeh and Dabouq, providing an opportunity for individuals to stay active before Iftar in a welcoming community setting.

Careem colleagues will be distributing Iftar meals to Captains across Jordan every day throughout Ramadan, ensuring they have a warm meal to break their fast. These initiatives reflect Careem’s commitment to using technology for social good, fostering community support, and making it easier for people to come together during the holy month.
