Tax department announces prizes for app receipt uploads

AMMAN — The Income and Sales Tax Department announced that it will distribute about 200 prizes for receipts uploaded to the Fawateery app, in line with the Cabinet-approved regulations for Jordanian tax system incentives, Al-Mamlaka TV reported. The department stated in a press release on Monday that the first prize is a Kia Sportage 2023, while the cash first prize has a value JD25,000. Other prizes include smartphones, TVs, microwaves, computer printers, vacuums, dryers, fuel and gold coupons, and limited-period subscriptions to various services. The department clarified that the application is not limited to goods invoices, but rather, that users can upload all types of bills, including bills of services that they receive in exchange for money, such as medical services, educational and legal services, consultations, and other paid services.
