The competition was held in two phases. The first phase took place in September 2024, where a curriculum plan combining theoretical and practical aspects of the latest global technologies was presented. After the winners of the first phase were selected, Dr. Al-Atoom submitted the detailed curriculum, including both theoretical and practical components, and defended it before a panel of Huawei experts in China in March 2025. The participation was titled: "Permissions and Role Management: A Practical Approach using OpenEuler, OpenGauss, and Data Studio."

As a result, the university received an invitation to approve the publication of the curriculum on Huawei’s educational platform, making it available to millions of students and teachers worldwide.

Dr. Al-Atoom's participation aligns with the college's continuous efforts to integrate academic curricula with the latest global technologies and technical alliances, preparing students for the job market. This achievement highlights the university’s and college’s commitment to investing in faculty members, supporting them, and developing their skills, which reflects positively on students and prepares them to enter both local and global job markets.

The university congratulates its distinguished faculty and Dr. Ahmed Al-Atoom for this global achievement.
